The ionic radii of FΘ and Naare 133 and 98 pm, respectively.

टिप्पणी लिखिए

उत्तर

  1. FΘ and Na⊕ are isoelectronic ions as they both have 10 electrons.
  2. However, the nuclear charge on FΘ is +9 while that of Na is +11.
  3. In isoelectronic species, a larger nuclear charge exerts a greater attraction on the electrons and thus, the radius of that isoelectronic species becomes smaller.
  4. Thus, FΘ has a larger ionic radii (133 pm) than Na (98 pm).
