Let f (x) = 5sin x – 6cos x + 7. Accordingly, from the first principle,

f(x) = limh0f(x+h)-f(x)h

= limh01h[5sin(x+h)-6cos(x+h)+7-5sinx+6cosx-7]

= limh01h[5{sin(x+h)-sinx}-6{cos(x+h)-cosx}]

= 5limh01h[sin(x+h)-sinx]-6limh01h[cos(x+h)-cosx]

= 5limh01h[2cos (x+h+x2)sin (x+h-x2)]-6limh0cosxcosh-sinxsinh-cosxh

= 5limh01h[2cos (2x+hh)sin h2]-6limh0[-cosx(1-cosh)-sinxsinhh]

= 5limh0(cos (2x+h2)sin h2h2)-6limh0[-cosx(1-cosh)h-sinxsinhh]

= 5[limh0(2x+h2)][limh0sin h2h2]-6[(-cosx)(limh01-coshh)-sinxlimh0(sinhh)]

= 5 cosx. 1 - 6 [(-cos x) (0) -sinx.1]

= 5 cosx + 6 sin x
