उत्तर

An ordinary glass bottle cracks when boiling water is poured into it because glass is a poor conductor of heat. When hot water is poured, the inner surface of the bottle expands rapidly while the outer surface remains cool. This uneven expansion creates thermal stress, causing the bottle to crack.

On the other hand, a borosilicate glass bottle does not crack because it is made of boron and silica, which provide high thermal resistance. Borosilicate glass expands very little when heated, allowing it to withstand sudden temperature changes without cracking.
