प्रश्न
How much volume will be occupied by 2 g of dry oxygen at 27°C and 740 mm pressure?
उत्तर
32 g of dry oxygen at STP = 22400 cc
∴ 2 g will occupy = `224002/32` = 1400 cc
P1 = 760 mm
P2 = 740 mm
V1 = 1400 cc
V2 = ?
T1 = 273 K
T2 = 27 +73 = 300K
∴ `("P"_1"V"_1)/"T"_1 = ("P"_2"V"_2)/"T"_2`
V2 = `("P"_1"V"_1"T"_2)/("T"_1"P"_2)`
= `(760 xx 1400 xx 300)/(273 xx 740)`
= 1580 cc
= `1580/1000`
= 1.581 litres
