उत्तर

Given:

Number of defenders = 6

Number of offenders = 4

Number of goalee = 1

Let S be the sample space.

∴ n(S) = Number of defenders + Number of offenders + Number of goalee

= 6 + 4 + 1

= 11

Event A: The goalee will be selected

Given: n(A) = 1

∴ `"P" ("A) = (n(A))/(n(S)) =1/11`

Hence, the probability that the goalee will be selected is `1/11`.
