A prosperous morning to everyone, Respected Principal Sir, All the beloved and wonderful Teachers and my dear friends.

First of all I wish all the Teachers a very Happy Teachers' Day.

Today is the day of our second parents none other than our Teachers.

None of us can deny that mother gives birth but a good teacher gives life.

If someone ask me to define teacher, that suits our modern language then I would like to define it like Teacher- A multitasking educational rockstar who lives to inspire and loves to encourage.

Today we all of us assemble here to acknowledge the contribution of all our teachers for giving a new meaning to our life.

On this special occasion, we'd like to greet our beloved teachers as well as our special guests who have joined us today. Let us give them a standing ovation!

We have a lot of exciting things planned for today, so let's get started.

We'll begin with a prayer, and I would like to invite Vandana Vishwakarma to lead us in the invocation.

Now we will stand up for prayer

Read the passage carefully and complete the activities given below :
A1 True or False

(i) Cross-cutting swords were used to seal the wall.
(ii) Hearing Mataprasad’s footsteps the cobra glided out of the wall.

                                               Passage
“Go, tell Neel,” I whispered to Akhil. “Tell him to get help.
”While I waited, I prayed that Rex would not make any sudden movements. The cobra would lash out in swift, sure revenge. I do not know how long I stood there, riveted by the horrifying tableau being enacted before me. At last, I heard footsteps coming along the passage. It was Mataprasad, the mali, with a solid reassuring stick.

At the sound of his approach, the cobra lowered its head and glided out of a hole in the wall.

The next day, masons came to seal the hole through which the cobra had slid in. And men in gumboots armed with scythes and grass-cutting swords cleaned up the compound. They hacked away at the tall grass. And what had lain hidden for years surfaced. For instance, we discovered that someone had laid out a badminton court many years ago. And we discovered a grave. It was a small grave, close to the boundary wall. There was a moss blackened stone at its head with just the faintest trace of the words engraved on it. We identified the words with our fingers.

A2  Mention the two things that were found when the tall grass was hacked.

B.1) Comparison
Write the comparison between the parts of the modular phone and the human body:

Modular Phone Parts of Human Body

Every phone you buy, no matter how costly and latest it is, will go out of date in a year or so. That’s how quickly the smartphone world is moving right now. To keep yourself up to date with the current specification you will have to keep switching phones every once a while. What’s the solution to this problem?
                                                         MODULAR PHONES!
A modular device is a phone, tablet or another device where individual components such as the screen, camera, CPU, battery, memory can be removed by the user and replaced by others with a different specification. Imagine your body to be your phone and your clothes as the components, you can wear anything according to your needs and moods. Similarly, modular phones let you choose between components of different properties and specifications.
This would mean we’ll have the liberty to customize our phones, just like Lego building blocks! The main components of the phone will be Brain (processor), Spine (frame, screen) and Heart (battery). The other components may include a camera, storage memory, GPS, audio jack, speakers, USB module, etc. and the phone will have a motherboard, i.e. a base that will hold all components together

B.2) Give examples:
Write two examples that give the liberty to customize our phone.
•   ____________________

B.3) Framing sentence:
Use the given phrases in sentences of your own:

(i) up to date
(ii) once a while

B.4) Write as instructed:
Rewrite the sentence as interrogative:
