उत्तर

A is  \[\ce{PCl5}\]  .....(It is yellowish white powder)

\[\ce{P4 + 10Cl2 -> 4PCl5}\]

B is  \[\ce{PCl3}\]  .....(It is a colourless oily liquid)

\[\ce{P4 + 6Cl2 -> 4PCl3}\]

Hydrolysis products are formed as follows:

\[\ce{PCl3 + 3H2O -> H3PO3 + 3HCl}\]

\[\ce{PCl5 + 4H2O -> H3PO4 + 5HCl}\]
