\[\ce{Fe + Cd^{2+} -> Cd + Fe^{2+}}\]

For cathode EΘcathode = – 0.44 V

For anode EΘanode = – 0.40 V

EΘcell = – 0.04v

The negative potential prevents easy reaction, so the redox reaction will not occur.
