The decrease in price of the soooter is only because of the decrease in amount of sales tax.

Let marked price be x 

And decrease amount of sales tax is 

= (decrease in rate of sales tax) x Price/ 100 

This amount is given as Rs 2,200. 

Also it is given Decrease in rate of sales tax = 5 °/o 

Therefore: 

Rs 2200 = `x xx 5/100`

Rs 2200 = `x/20`

x = Rs 2200 × 20 = Rs 44000

Thus marked price of the soooter is Rs. 44,000
