⇒ `(3x)/3=6/3` [Dividing both the sides by 3]
⇒ x = 2
Verification:
Substituting x = 2 in the L.H.S.:
3(2 + 6) = 3 ×8 = 24 = R.H.S.
L.H.S. = R.H.S.
Hence, verified.
