प्रश्न
State whether the two triangles are congruent or not. Justify your answer
उत्तर
Let the given triangle be ∆ABC
`bar("AD")` divides ∆ABC into two parts giving ∆ABD and ∆ACD
In ∆ABD and ∆ACD
`bar("AB") = bar("AC")` ...(given)
`bar("BD") = bar("AD")` ...(common side)
∠BAD = ∠CAD ...(included angles)
∴ By SAS criterion ∆ABD ≅ ∆ACD.
