प्रश्न

The mass of 11.2 litres of a certain gas at s.t.p is 24 g. Find gram molecular mass of the gas

योग

उत्तर

Given :
Volume of gas at STP = 11.2 litres
Mass of gas at STP = 24g
Gram molecular mass = ?
Mass of 22.4L of a gas at STP is equal to its gram molecular mass.
11.2L of the gas at STP weight 24g
So,
22.4L of the gas will weight
`24/11.2` x 22.4 = 48g
Gram molecular mass = 48g.
