The Island groups of India

India has two groups of islands:
- Lakshadweep Islands:
- The Lakshadweep Islands, located in the Arabian Sea southwest of the Indian peninsula, are made up of 36 small coral islands, 10 of which are inhabited, and cover a total of 32 square kilometers.
- Kavaratti serves as the administrative headquarters for this island group. The islands are famous for their breathtaking coral reefs, lagoons, and biodiversity.
- Andaman & Nicobar Islands:
- Located in the Bay of Bengal, southeast of the mainland, this group of 572 islands is separated into two groups: the Andaman Islands (north) and the Nicobar Islands (south).
- Port Blair serves as the capital of these collection of islands. The islands are recognized for their unique flora, fauna, and cultures, including the Jarawas and Sentinelese.
