IoT (Internet of Things)

The Internet of things (IoT) is the network of physical devices. These enable the devices to share relevant information among them thus decreasing human effort. Embedded with technology, these devices can communicate and interact over the Internet, and they can be remotely monitored and controlled. 

Advantages 

It reduces human effort while saving a lot of time. IOT Devices help humans to monitor their resource allocation hence using it more efficiently. IOT devices can collect data from everything around them, which helps us to take decisions. 

Disadvantages 

IOT devices constantly collect data thus raising questions on privacy. Designing an IOT device is a complex task hence only highly qualified person can make and apply them. 

Applications of IoT 

IoT devices are all around us.  Smart Signals which automatically accommodate signal timings according to the cars moving. Smart Lighting, light illumination is controlled by daylight.
