प्रश्न
66g of ammonium sulphate is produced by the action of ammonia on sulphuric acid. Write a balanced equation and calculate the volume of the gas used at STP.
उत्तर
\[\ce{2NH3 + H2SO4 -> [NH4]2SO4}\]
Mass of Ammonia = 34 g
Mass of [NH4]2SO4 = 132 g
Mass of H2SO4 = 98 g
Gas used for 132 g of (NH4)SO4 = 2 × 22.4 litres
∴ Gas used for 66 g of (NH4)SO4 = `(2 xx 22.4 xx 66)/132`
= 22.4 litres
