प्रश्न
9 added to twice a number gives 13. Find the number.
उत्तर
Let the required number be x
It is given that 9 added to twice this number gives 13
∴ 2x + 9 = 13
⇒ 2x = 13 – 9 ......[Transposing 9 to RHS]
⇒ 2x = 4
⇒ `(2x)/2 = 4/2` ......[Dividing both sides by 2]
⇒ x = 2
Hence, the required number is 2.
