The number of ionizable hydrogen (H+) ions present in one molecule of an acid is called its basicity.
Based on Basicity acids were classified into different types:
- Mono-basic acids - HCl, HNO3, CH3COOH
- Di-basic acids - H2SO4, H2CO3
- Tri-basic acids - H3BO3, H3PO4
