  1. During extraction of silver metal, impure metal will be used as anode and pure metal is used as a cathode for refining of silver metal by this electrolytic refining.
  2. Silver Sulphate or Silver Nitrate could be used as an electrolyte.
  3. Pure silver is obtained on the cathode.
