उत्तर

  1. Homoleptic complexes: The complexes in which metal ion is bound to only one type of ligands are called homoleptic complexes.
e.g. In [Co(NH3)6]3+, only one type of ligand, NH3 surrounds the Co3+ ion.
  2. Heteroleptic complexes: The complexes in which metal ion is surrounded by more than one type of ligands are called heteroleptic complexes.
e.g. In complex [Co(NH3)4Cl2]+, there are two types of ligands, NH3 and Cl attached to Co3+ ion.
  3. Double Salt: Double salts are ionic substances created by combining two distinct salt compounds. In aqueous media, double salts totally dissociate.
    eg. FeS04 (NH4) 2S04 · 6H20 (Mohr's salt).
