प्रश्न
Find the value of x if `[(1, x, 1)] [(1, 3, 2),(2, 5,1),(15, 3, 2)] [(1),(2),(x)]` = 0
उत्तर
Given that `[(1, x, 1)] [(1, 3, 2),(2, 5,1),(15, 3, 2)] [(1),(2),(x)]` = 0
⇒ `[(1 + 2x + 15, 3 + 5x + 3, 2 + x + 2)] [(1),(2),(x)]` = 0
⇒ `[(2x + 16, 5x + 6, x + 4)] [(1),(2),(x)]` = 0
⇒ [2x + 16 + 10x + 12 + x2 + 4x] = 0
⇒ x2 + 16x + 28 = 0
⇒ x2 + 14x + 2x + 28 = 0
⇒ x(x + 14) + 2(x + 14) = 0
⇒ (x + 2)(x + 14) = 0
x + 2 = 0 or x + 14 = 0
∴ x = – 2 or x = – 14
Hence, the values of x are – 2 and – 14.
