(A ∩ C) × (B ∩ D) = {3} × {3, 5}
= {(3, 3) (3, 5)} ….(1)
A × B = {1, 2, 3} × {2, 3, 5}
= {(1, 2) (1, 3) (1, 5) (2, 2) (2, 3) (2, 5) (3, 2) (3, 3) (3, 5)}
C × D = {3, 4} × {1, 3, 5}
= {(3, 1) (3, 3) (3, 5) (4, 1) (4, 3) (4, 5)}
(A × B) ∩ (C × D) = {(3, 3) (3, 5)} ….(2)
From (1) and (2) we get
(A ∩ C) × (B ∩ D) = (A × B) ∩ (C × D)
This is true.
