प्रश्न
In tropical rain forests, the canopy is thick and plants growing below receive filtered light. How are they able to carry out photosynthesis?
उत्तर
Light is rarely a limiting factor for photosynthesis because just 10% of the full sunlight is sufficient to ensure light saturation. In plants that thrive under a large canopy in forests; a less percentage of light may slow down the rate of photosynthesis but it cannot halt photosynthesis during daytime. Hence, these plants are able to carry on photosynthesis.
