Let x ∈ C – B = x ∈ C but x ∉ B
Given: A ⊂ B ⇒ if x ∉ B ⇒ x ∉ A
i.e. x ∈ C and x ∉ A ⇒ x ∈ C – A
Here, we find that
if x ∈ C – B then x ∈ C – A
⇒ C – B ⊂ C – A.
