प्रश्न
Solve the following equation using the formula:
2x2 + 7x + 5 = 0
उत्तर
2x2 + 7x + 5 = 0
Here a = 2, b = 7 and c = 5
Then `x = (-b +- sqrt(b^2 - 4ac))/(2a)`
= `(-(7) +- sqrt((7)^2 - 4(2)(5)))/(2(2))`
= `(-7 +- 3)/4`
= `(-7 + 3)/4` and `(-7-3)/4`
= –1 and `-5/2`
