प्रश्न
Solve the following equation using the formula:
`sqrt(6)x^2 - 4x - 2sqrt(6) = 0`
उत्तर
`sqrt(6)x^2 - 4x - 2sqrt(6) = 0`
Here a = `sqrt(6)` , b = −4 and c = `−2sqrt(6)`
Then `x = (-b +- sqrt(b^2 - 4ac))/(2a)`
= `(-(-4) +- sqrt((-4)^2 - 4(sqrt6)(-2sqrt6)))/(2(sqrt6))`
= `(4 +- sqrt(64))/(2sqrt(6))`
= `(4 +- 8)/(2sqrt(6))`
= `(4 + 8)/(2sqrt(6))` and `(4 - 8)/(2sqrt(6))`
= `6/sqrt(6)` and `(-2)/sqrt(6)`
= `sqrt(6)` and `(-sqrt(6))/3`
