प्रश्न
Solve the following:
The vapour density of a gas is 8. What would be the volume occupied by 24.0 of the gas at STP?
उत्तर
Vapour density of gas = 8
∴ Molecular mass = 2 × vapour density
= 2 × 8
= 16
∴ Gram molecular mass of gas = 16 g
16 g of gas at STP occupies = 22.4 dm3
∴ 24 g of gas at STP occupies = `(22.4 xx 24)/16`
= 33.6 dm3
