उत्तर
Given, x + 2y = 8 ...(i)
3x − 2y = 12 ...(ii)
From Eq. (i), we have
x = 8 − 2y
The table for values of x, corresponding to the values of y for Eq (i) is
x | 8 | 0 |
y | 0 | 4 |
From Eq. (ii), we have
3x = 12 + 2y
x = `(12 + 2y)/3`
The table for values of x, corresponding to the values of y is
x | 4 | 0 |
y | 0 | −6 |
Both the lines intersect each other at `(5, 3/2)`
So, x = 5 and y = `3/2`
Therefore, x = 5 and y = `3/2` is the solution of given pair of equations.
