Schotten-Baumann reaction

Aniline reacts with benzoyl chloride (C6H5COCl) in the presence of NaOH to give N-phenyl benzamide. This reaction is known as the Schotten Baumann reaction. The acylation and benzoylation are nucleophilic substitutions.
