प्रश्न
Write two solutions of the following equation :
x = 6y
उत्तर
We have
x = 6y
Substituting y = 0 in this equation, we get` x = 6 × 0 = 0`
So . (0,0) is a function of the given equation substituting y = 1 , y in the given equation, we set `x = 6 xx 1 = 6`
So, (6,1) is a solution of the given equation.
∴ we obtain( 0,0) and (6,1) as solutions of the given equation .

The linear equation that converts Fahrenheit (F) to Celsius (C) is given by the relation C = `(5F - 160)/9`. What is the numerical value of the temperature which is same in both the scales?
If the temperature of a liquid can be measured in Kelvin units as x°K or in Fahrenheit units as y°F, the relation between the two systems of measurement of temperature is given by the linear equation
`y = 9/5 (x - 273) + 32`
