Question

44 cows can graze a field in 9 days. How many less/more cows will graze the same field in 12 days?

Sum

Solution

44 cows can graze a field = 9 days

The number of cows that can graze the same field in 1 day = 44 × 9 cows

In 12 days, the number of cows required = `(44 xx 9)/12`

= `(44 xx 3)/4`

= 11 × 3

= 33 cows

Hence, (44 – 33) i.e. 11 cows less required for graze the same field in 12 days.
