Question
72% of 25 students are interested in mathematics. How many are not interested in mathematics?
Solution
It is given that 72% of 25 students are good in mathematics.
Therefore,
∴ Percentage of students who are not good in mathematics = (100 − 72)%
= 28%
∴ Number of students who are not good in mathematics = `28/100 xx 25`
= 7
Thus, 7 students are not good in mathematics.
