Question
A body is provided at a point. A force of 20 N is applied at a distance of 40 cm from the pivot. Find the moment of force about the pivot.
Solution
Given, applied force, F = 20N
Distance From the pivot , d = 40cm = 0.4m
Torque = F x d = 20 x 0.4 = 8 Nm
