a prime number

Sum

Solution

A die has six numbers: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6

∴ Number of possible outcomes = 6

a prime number

Number of favourable outcomes = a prime

number = 2,3,5, which is 3 in numbers

P(E) = `"Number of favourable outcomes"/"Number of all possible outcomes"`

= `3/6 = 1/2`
