Solution
Let the required number be x
Then, x divided by 6 = `x/6`
It is given that when x is divided by 6, gives the quotient is 6
So, we obtain the following equation
`x/6` = 6
⇒ `x/6` × 6 = 6 × 6 .......[Multiplying both sides by 6]
⇒ x = 36
Hence, the required number is 36.
