f(x) + g(x) = 16x4 – 5x2 + 9 – 6x3 + 7x – 15
= 16x4 – 6x3 – 5x2 + 7x + 9 – 15
= 16x4 – 6x3 – 5x2 + 7x – 6
The degree of the polynomial is 4.
