Question
An angle is one-thirds of a straight line angle; find:
(i) the angle
(ii) the complement and the supplement of the angle obtained above.
Solution
straight angle = 180°
∴ given angle = `1/3 xx 180^circ` = 60°
(i) complement of the given angle
= 90° - 60° = 30°
(ii) Supplement of the given angle
= 180° - 60° = 120°
