1. Alcohol addiction has adverse impact on addict’s physical as well as mental health. Psychologically, addict develops heavy dependency on alcohol. It also has negative effect on his productivity and efficiency at work. Economically, it drains resources of addict since alcohol is expensive.
2. If parents have alcohol addiction, it poses a threat to stable family life of kids. It also creates stressful environment which eventually impacts mental health of every family member. Since addict spends huge amount of money on alcohol consumption, it may also cause financial problems for the family.
3. In a community where individuals are addicted, there are no role models for younger generation. Alcohol addiction adversely affects overall social welfare in various ways.
