Height of one bookmaker = `10 1/2` cm

= `((10 xx 2) + 1)/2`

= `21/2` cm

Length of ribbon = 15 m = 1500 cm

∴ Number of bookmakers = `"Length of ribbon"/"Height of one bookmaker"`  ......[∵ 1 m = 100 cm]

= `1500/(21/2)`

= `1500/21 xx 2`

= 142.85 ≈ 142

Hence, 142 bookmakers can be made from a 15 m long ribbon.
