2. Due to the region's diversity of ethnic groups, calls have been made for a distinct and independent administrative system in the northeastern half of the nation. Social injustice is an equally important issue. The suffering people's sense of working for the betterment of their area or region has been planted in them by the combination of social disadvantage and economic degradation. The people of Assam desire Bodoland because of this.
