Solution
Train ticket fare = ₹ 230
Ticket fare on concession = ₹ 120
Discount = Ticket fare – concession fare
= 230 – 120
= ₹ 110
Percentage of discount = `"Discount"/"Original rate" xx 100%`
= `110/230 xx 100`
= 47.826%
= 47.83%
Percentage of discount = 47.83%
