A tank can hold 50 litres of water. At present, it is only 30% full. How many litres of water will fill the tank, so that it is 50% full?

Solution

Total capacity of the tank = 50 litres

Percentage to be filled = 50 - 30%

= 20%

The amount of water to be filled = `20/100xx50`

= 10 litres
