Coagulation : The process of settling of colloidal particles is called coagulation or precipitation of sol. eg. Coagulation can be carried out by electrophoresis, mixing opp charged sols, Boiling etc. Mixing of hydrated ferric oxide (+ ve sol) with Arsenious sulphide (–ve sol)) brings coagulation of both.
