Transducer
A transducer is a device which converts one form of energy into another form of energy. The conversion can be to and from any type of energies like electrical, mechanical, photo-voltaic, electromagnetic etc.
Repeater
A repeater is an electronic device which basically amplifies an incoming electronic signal to a higher power or level as the output. A repeater is basically used to pass a signal over physical obstruction and is used extensively in communications.
