Given:

1.5 V Cell: This is the power source.

10 Ω resistor and 5 Ω resistor: These are the resistors connected in series.

Plug Key: This is used to complete or break the circuit.

When resistors are connected in series, the total resistance (Rtotal​) is the sum of the individual resistances:

`R_("total") = R_1 + R_2`

= 10 Ω + 5 Ω

= 15 Ω

Apply Ohm's Law

V = 1.5 V (Voltage of the cell)

R = 15 Ω (total resistance)

I = `V/R`

I = `(1.5 V)/(15 Ω)`
