The following equations are given:
x – 4y + 10 = 0 .....(i)
And x + 4y – 10 = 0 ......(ii)
For equation (i): x – 4y + 10 = 0

y = `(x + 10)/4` | 2.5 | 0 |
(x, y) | (0, 2.5) | (–10, 0) |
For equation (ii): x + 4y – 10 = 0
x | 0 | 10 |
y = `(10 - x)/4` | 2.5 | 0 |
(x, y) | (0, 2.5) | (10, 0) |
ABC is the triangle produced by these two lines and the X-axis.
Hence, the coordinates of the triangle formed are (–10, 0), (0, 2.5) and (10, 0).
