- Prior to the Match:
- The team captain signs the score-sheet.
- He represents his team during the toss.
- During the Match:
- When the team captain is not on the court, the coach or the team captain must assign another player on the court (but not the libero) to assume the role of game captain. This game captain maintains his responsibilities until he is substituted or the team captain returns to play.
- He may ask authorisation from the referees to change uniforms or equipments.
- He submits to the referee involved the requests or questions properly submitted by his teammates during interruptions.
- At the End of the Match:
- Thanks to the referees and signs the score-sheet to ratify the outcome.
- If he previously submitted a protest to the first referee, he may confirm it in writing on the score sheet.
