On the basis of the duration of the activity, endurance is classified into the following types:
- Speed endurance: It refers to the capacity to endure fatigue during activities that last for a maximum of 45 seconds. For example, the 400 m sprint race. The force and capacity of energy production primarily determine speed endurance.
- Short-term Endurance: The capacity to endure exhaustion during activities that last between 45 seconds and 2 minutes. I.e., the 800 m race. The extent of this endurance is contingent upon the endurance of both strength and movement.
