- The clothes are first soaped or soaked in a soap solution, and then friction is applied to them.
- Water or soap solution is sprinkled from time to time during the application of friction.
- The clothes are then squeezed to remove the dirty soap solution and finally rinsed clean.
- This method is generally used for strong fabrics like cotton and linen.
