2. Thermal Pollution: Companies cool their machines with water, and then they dump the hot water back into pools of water. This makes the water warmer, which lowers the amount of air in it and hurts living things in the water. 
3. Oil and Chemical Spills: Pollutants often get into waterways from factories that work with oil, chemicals, and dyes. This pollutes the water, which hurts marine species. 
4. Use of Pesticides and Fertilizers: Through runoff, businesses that make chemical pesticides and fertilizers pollute water. These poisons pollute groundwater and rivers, which is bad for your health.
