Solution
- The physical factors like climate, terrain and availability of water affects population distribution. For example the north India plains, deltas and coastal plains have a higher proportion of population than other regions of the country.
- Economic factors like industrialisation, urbanisation and development of transport networks cause high concentration of population in urban regions of Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Pune etc.
